The HDC believes in strong community activity. By coming together for various events we are able to promote equality across the board. Events will be posted that are created by several local GLBTQQ+ friendly groups.

April 4th

Pride 2017 Planning // Environmental Center // 16 NW Kansas, Bend, OR // 6:15-7:15

Do you want to help make Central Oregon Pride 2017 the best Pride ever? HDC is looking for a core group of dedicated volunteers! At this meeting we will be discussing ideas, plans and volunteer needs for the planning of Pride at Drake Park on June 24th, 2017. Please come join us if you want to take an active role as a volunteer this year or if you have ideas or skills to offer in planning.

Everyone is welcome to join the Pride Planning Committee at 6 pm.

April 11th

PFLAG // Nativity Lutheran Church // 60850 Brosterhous Road, Bend, OR 97702// 6-8 PM

Please join PFLAG Central Oregon for the repeat showing of “For The Bible Tells Me So”. This movie is a must-see for all those Christian families with a LGBTQ child or loved one.

Please bring movie snacks and whatever you want to drink! The film is one hour and 35 minutes long and is unrated.

April 13th

Lez Be Happy // Seven Restaurant and Night Club // 1033 NW Bond, Bend, OR 97701 // 6-9 PM 

Hi Ladies! Lez Bee Happy is jumping into the the Spring season with our next meetup at Club Seven in downtown Bend! Recent remodeling gives us plenty of great seating and the full bar and kitchen will offer tasty yet affordable drinks and dinner. BONUS: If folks are feeling fancy and free, karaoke happens later in the evening too. Look forward to seeing y’all there, to meet up with old friends and new!!

April 18th

Teens who are in elementary to high school are invited to hang out in a safe space to express who they are. There will be two groups lead by leaders, 13+ and 13-.  This is a chaperoned event by responsible members of the community. For more information, please contact qys@humandignitycoalition.org

In an effort to promote education and outreach for parents with transgender children, a peer volunteer run support group will be available at the same hours as the Queer Youth Space. Contact: Parentsupport@humandignitycoalition.org

HDC GLBTQ Veteran Outreach with Nathaniel Boehme // 5-6 //  HDC Office // 155 Irving, Bend, 97701 

Join Nathaniel for a conversation concerning:

· Access to benefits
· What veterans with Service-Connected disabilities can and    cannot access
· Barriers when working with the VA (as an LGBTQ veteran)
· Considerations unique to the trans veteran community
· Local resources for veterans and the LGBTQ community
· Needs of the veteran and LGBTQ community
· General socialization and community building

Our Night Out is headed to a To Be Confirmed Location for April 20th. ! Host Bradley will both be in attendance and grinning from ear to ear to meet each and every one of you. There have been so many new faces we are blessed with a growing community.
